You will be working as R&D Senior Software Developer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D/Technology Manager and will be responsible for contributing to ABB's success with technology, software, product or system development. Identifying and implementing innovative solutions to relevant problems. Providing ideas and is able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

Your responsibilities

• Providing broad technical software support, training, pilots and consulting services for clients and to carry out the implementation of company software product in pulp and paper industry. Digital project implementation in pulp and paper industry
• Analyzing and gathering customer requirements and proposing appropriate solutions for pulp and paper MES or digital projects
• Working with project managers to define scope, features and estimates for new projects. Planning project activities with local and remote teams
• Working directly on development tasks, providing technical leadership, coordinating with other resources and creating high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
• Working with customers to define new opportunities for plant level applications. Being proficient or having the capability of becoming proficient at installing, configuring, developing a work flow process, troubleshooting the software and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches
• Planning and making technological training for customer key users or internal team with clear & concise documentation. Aside from project responsibility, the successful candidate will also provide strategic sales, training and customer or application support

Your background

• Bachelors or masters degree in engineering
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience on HTML5 and CSS with a thorough understanding of ReactJS
• Strong proficiency in javascript, including DOM manipulation and the javascript object model (ECMA 6 and above) typescript, redux state management, graphing libraries, JavaScript Unit Testing Framework (Jest etc.)
• Good experience in Rest APIs, SignalR or Websockets, GitHub or TFS along with knowledge of MES applications for process industry, experience in pulp & paper industry is a plus
• Having clear understanding of client or server architecture with good analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with build and deployment tools, familiarity with Git or other versioning systems, familiarity identity and access management using OAuth2 and JWT
