Many of those deliveries take place utilizing our logistics department. Making sure Scoober runs smoothly requires innovative tech solutions, which is where you come in! As part of Scoober, your main focus in the "Courier Scheduling” team is to ensure that we always have the right number of couriers in place at the right time.

As our (Senior) Backend Developer: Logistics Technology (*m/f/d) at JustEat Takeaway.com (JET) you will have the opportunity to employ cutting edge technologies and practices in order to provide the most enjoyable user experience to our hard-working colleagues who are supporting the food delivery activities.
Within JET, we like to empower teams and provide them with full ownership of the applications they develop, with the freedom to make key technical decisions.

Collaborating with your team and stakeholders to improve our system’s functionalities.
Solving complex engineering problems to enhance our service and the overall customer experience.
Refine and grow your expertise in topics such as Javascript, Event-Driven Architecture, DDD and NodeJs.
Promote and contribute to good software engineering practices across the team and all of IT.
Your profile
You are a real team player who is comfortable with practices such as pair programming, code reviewing and knowledge sharing.
You have a good knowledge of the Node.js environment, especially with the Express or Fastify frameworks
You have a good knowledge of TypeScript and Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
You know how to efficiently test your code, ideally using a TDD approach.
You have a good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
You know how to efficiently design and structure applications. Any knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) is highly appreciated
You understand how to effectively build for the cloud (experience with AWS is highly appreciated)
Ideally (not required) you already have some experience in Event-Driven Architecture, including experience with Kafka or similar message brokers (RabbitMQ, AWS MQ, AWS Kinesis etc.)
You are passionate about clean code.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
