Could you be the full-time Project Manager Bogies in Salzgitter we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in Bogies. You’ll report to the Site Project Director / Head of Sub-System Group as well as in the train project team, and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.
Bogies keep moving our Trains forward: they are concentrated technology hubs that integrate motors, gears, wheels, brakes, suspensions, sensors and much more.
Our teams play a pivotal role in fostering innovation not only at our International Component Development site in Siegen but also beyond. This is made possible through our robust competence network spanning Quality, Performance, Reliability, and Safety across 18 sites.
You'll be the person your team turns to for momentum and to push projects forward. No two days are the same, but day-to-day you’ll manage challenges, enable those around you to excel, and much more.
You’ll make sure the projects align with contractual requirements and customer expectations, coordinating our Project Core Teams (PCT) across several sites as Project Manager / Sub-System Manager for demanding new-construction projects, but also manage the standard processes and tools embedded in Alstoms’ international competence-network.
We’ll look to you to:
- Work closely with our customers to develop, qualify and deliver our Bogies & Drives on Time, Quality and Costs to almost all regions of the world
- Identify, prioritize and perform critical project items, but also risks and potential savings
- Coordinate the on-time completion of Gate Reviews together with the PCT
- Harmonize and perform action plans to achieve project Quality, Cost, Delivery dates (QCD) targets
- Ensure a service-oriented collaboration with our customers and business partners (technical, commercial and contractual), together with our functional specialists
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent qualification
- Work experience with industrial products, ideally in the Railway sector and/or Project Management
- Analytic approach combined with practical, hands-on strategies to pursue solutions
- Team player and team leader, driven by enthusiasm and possessing a strong intercultural mindset
- Communication proficiency complemented by both, good planning and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Business fluent in German and English language
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career with ideal development opportunities in a modern, future-oriented and diverse Project Management team
- A high degree of flexible task design with digitalized working methods
- Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
- Contribute to innovative projects
- Utilise our hybrid working environment
- Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
- Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
- Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
