Project Lead Engineer (F/M/D) – Power-To-X Projects

In this position, you will be the technical lead and design authority for electrical engineering activities related to Power-to-X projects in Energy Industries Division in Germany.In this role, you will drive excellence, making technical recommendations to ensure that engineering activities are effectively executed in accordance with expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities.

Your responsibilities

• Technical lead of a team of specialist engineers for complex engineering projects during the complete project duration
• Technical representation of the project towards the customer
• Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction always offering dialogue and excellent service
• Collaborating close with project management to implement the agreed project strategy
• Managing proactively the project engineering team to deliver the agreed scope on time, with the required quality and within the cost budget
• Creating and delivering work plans, resource requirements, proposals, engineering estimates, and risk and opportunity analysis
• Resolving complex technical issues both remotely and at customer sites
• Working and networking with engineering colleagues, disseminating best practices
• Overseeing new subcontracts and assisting the supply chain in managing subcontractors

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering
• Several years of relevant work experience as technical lead, acting as technical expert with at least 3 of the following systems: HV/MV Switchgears, Transformers, LV Switchgears, Drives (VSD, Softstarter - LV&MV), Power factor compensation systems, Harmonic filtering equipment (active, passive), Battery energy storage systems, Supercapacitors, Rectifiers & Inverters, Container / e-house applications, Cabling, cable routing, Firefighting / fire detection, Earthing and lightning protection, Electrical building services (Lighting, CCTV, etc.)
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong written and spoken communication skills
• German and English (fluent, negotiating skills)
• No obstacles for travelling (short business travels)
