As the company’s ambitions for growth in renewable energy increases, the demand for procurement expertise continues to grow. We are thus looking for a Procurement Manager for the O&M wind procurement team.

AsProcurement Manager for materials/spare parts you will have a significant impact on Vattenfall realising its transition to a more sustainable energy portfolio by securing the necessary materials/spare parts at best value for the company. You will be engaging with the wind supply chain to define procurement strategies as well as identify novel market approaches to maximize the company’s profitability. You will work in a fast paced environment where you never know what tomorrow will bring and where you interact with many stakeholders internally and externally to drive value from Vattenfall’s’ supply chain for the business.

The role of the Procurement Manager in O&M is to drive and own commercial aspects when leading negotiations of contracts and/or frameworks for our wind assets.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be working within the area/category of materials/spare parts (WTG Main Components, tools, oils, greases etc) and you will lead the negotiation of specific material/spare part contracts, like framework agreements or supporting one off needs related to wind activities in full alignment with supply chain management and the wind sites.
• You will perform spend and contract utilization analysis for the area of materials.
• Developing and implementing procurement strategies for relevant procurement project.
• Proactively engage with stakeholders and ensure a close alignment and cooperation with the Generation team.
• Lead and drive tendering activities including, procurement strategies, bid evaluation, negotiation and preparing contract award decisions for O&M wind projects, ensuring best value and compliance with the Vattenfall objectives and principles.
• Driving and ensuring compliant governance for your procurement activities.
• Support contract management activities in alignment with commercial management.

Location: One of the core locations, being Amsterdam, London, Hamburg or Kolding. Regular business trips are required.

Who are you?

As a person you are a proactive strategic thinker with a ‘win-win’ mindset. You finalize the activities you are running. You are an effective communicator at senior executive level as well as towards Project Managers in the organization. Your superior interpersonal skills and proven commercial mindset enable you to build great networks and foster connections within the organization.

Next to this you bring;

• A relevant University degree or equal, with a minimum of 3 years working within procurement and experience with procurement of materials/spare parts preferably from renewables, oil and gas, or similar complex industries.
• Thriving in being a ‘fire-fighter’ who gets things done fast and with excellence.
• Thriving in having multiple activities running at the same time.
• Ability to work in autonomy and take the initiative. “Can do mentality”.
• Significant experience in driving procurement projects in an international environment.
• Good negotiation skills on standards forms of contract.
• Strong command of English, both verbally and written.
• Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to perform and travel during peak periods.
