We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement (Project/Program) Manager with profound project experience in (i) Offshore Wind energy – preferably in procurement – or (ii) alternatively in large construction/ energy plant projects. The candidate with a proven record of accomplishment will be responsible for a procurement team in the JV in UK as deputy for the Procurement Lead in respective projects. This role will report to the Head of Procurement Wind Energy in line management and to the Project Management in the JV. The job holder will be part of a dynamic and target-oriented Project Team striving to successfully negotiate high volume construction contracts with a tough timeline and a very dynamic supplier and market environment.
This role will:
- Lead a team of Senior Procurement Managers through the development phase of project until FID for respective Offshore Wind projects/program ensuring constructive and creative collaboration
- Support the development of Procurement and Contracts strategies for Work Packages with specialist Procurement Managers, Work Package Manager and Work Package team
- Lead the strategy and implementation of project level Procurement Plans and/or the Sustainable Industry Rewards (subject to UK Government policy changes) for all M3 projects
- Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with corporate guidelines, contractual agreements, quality standards, financial and performance goals
- Act proactively, ensuring that all related activities are executed while adhering to corporate guidelines, contractual agreements, quality standards, financial goals, and deadlines
- Escalate any topics which cannot be solved in the work package to the Procurement Director or Project Manager as appropriate
- Apply advanced methods and solid technical expertise, you contribute to cost reduction and validate requested specifications
- Knowledge transfer and best practice sharing across the program and between the joint venture and the shareholder organizations
- Have a holistic perspective and takes responsibility for project success in terms of goals and outcomes of the overall team
