Understand process capabilities through critical dataanalysis and in depth understanding of the product. Develop andmodify line layouts, including material flow, waste reduction, and ergonomics, utilizingLean Manufacturing best practices
Root Cause analysis of complexsystems, and mitigation of failure modes via a systems approach
Analyze and optimize productionprocesses to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) in cost effective means while driving to achieve world-class qualitylevels
Learn the existing process todeploy and maintain vision inspections from both a software and technicaloperations perspective, then improve upon it
Lead NCM (non-conformingmaterial) activities, including the documentation and troubleshooting of linefall out
Utilizestructured problem solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W)and Eight Disciplines (8D)
Perform supporting activities forengineering and manufacturing including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities,material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safetyprocedures
Monitor and reduce processvariation using techniques such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) andMeasurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
Create and maintain ManufacturingInstructions, routings, and associated processes
Support 24 by 7 productionoperations

Bachelor's Degree in MechanicalEngineering, Industrial Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Mathematics,Physical Science, or equivalent relevant experience
Design for Manufacturabilityexperience, Poke Yoke, and elimination of risk with design recommendations
Background in Automated Systems(Electronics, Computer Controls, Electromechanical, Fastening, and/or ITSystems) is preferable to support End of Line (EOL) troubleshooting
2 years experience developing andimproving Process. Have a demonstrated track record of Overall EquipmentEffectiveness improvement activities
Good understanding of Bill ofMaterials, Manufacturing Execution System, Specification Management, ChangePoint Management
Strong problem solving skills andan aptitude for learning systems quickly. Able to utilize structuredproblem solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W) or EightDisciplines (8D). Able to resolve high level performance issues intoaddressable actions
Knowledge of Statistical ProcessControl and its application
Strong ability to work andcommunicate effectively with team and peers within a manufacturing andengineering organization. This includes excellent communication skills: writtenand verbal
Creative capacity for developingnew ways to do things better, cheaper, faster in alignment with the Teslaapproach to revolutionary product development
Experience programming in Pythonor scripting is nice to have
