Lead our team of Lead Engineers / Engineers / Technicians to develop a complete seat and/or component corresponding to a set of requirements defined by our customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review technical proposal and make decisions, ensure designs meet DFM (Design for Manufacturability) needs
- Conduct test/ FEA failures analysis and make optimization plan, and address problems with engineered solutions (FEA, DFM, DFMEA, Design Analysis, Calculations, Design Review)
- Drive optimized / cost effective solutions
- Drive design standardization, and ensures global best practices are being followed
- Ensure program timing deliverables are being met
- Communicate with customer to align technical topics
- Support sales team during the acquisition phase regarding engineering topics
- Manage suppliers in engineering field
- Support plant production activity, especially EU plants
- Provide guidance to Lead Engineers / Engineers / Technicians
Requirements:
- Education background: Engineering Bachelor’s degree and above
- Working experience:
- 8 years in automotive industry including 5 years seat development experience
- Familiar with engineering tools, such as GD&T, CAD, UG/CATIA, DFMEA etc.
- Team management experience preferred
- Personality and soft skills:
- High motivation, team work, logical thinking, pressure containment, with strong communication skills
- Comply with the requirements of the company values
- Comply with the requirements of LCM (Leadership Competency Model)
- Fluent in English and in German; Excellent communication skills and relationship management
- BMW customer knowledge would be a plus
- Able to work in a multicultural and international environment
- Valid German work and residence permit
