- You are responsible for the interpretation and reaction of incidents from SIEM, EDR and NDR
- You proactively develop recommendations for appropriate countermeasures, identify optimisation potentials and are responsible for monitoring them
- You will continuously develop attack detection along the cyber kill chain with the help of an effective tool and technology landscape
- You keep an eye on the latest threat intelligence information, vulnerabilities and security warnings and create recommendations for action for us
- You ensure the operation of the next-generation EDR solutions using your expertise
- Supporting IT security operations within the framework of 2nd level support and the introduction of new policies and services is part of your area of responsibility.
- Together with the team, you will improve the security level of applications and systems.
Your Qualifications:
- Successfully completed studies in the field of (business) informatics, information technology, IT security or a comparable qualification in combination with relevant professional experience
- Sound knowledge of networks (OSI layer) and operating systems (Windows and Unix/Linux), as well as experience in analysing Windows and Unix/Linux logs
- Passion for IT security and motivated to continuously develop yourself and Jenoptik in this area and actively pass on your knowledge
- Experience in the area of cloud security, preferably in dealing with Microsoft 365 Defender
- Professional handling of security-relevant situations
- Ideally, security certifications from CompTIA, Offensive Security, ISC², SANS are already available or willing to obtain them
- Willingness to be the contact person for information security incidents on selected days as part of an on-call duty, even beyond working hours
- Very good knowledge of German and English
