Make your mark for patients

Hospital Access & Key Account Manager

We are looking for a Hospital Access & Key Account Manager who is personable, collaborative and engaging to join us in our Market Access & Public Affairs team for Germany

About the role

You will be responsible of managing and developing close and trustful relationsships to our key stakeholders within the targeted hospital accounts and maximize the impact and benefit of this relationsship for both sides.

Who you’ll work with

Reporting directly into the Head of Hospital Access for Germany you will work with several key stakeholders within the different patient value units / business units such as Immunology, Neurology and Rare Diseases as well as the external key stakeholder community that is hospital based.

What you’ll do

  • Strategically fostering and expanding business relationships with pharmacists, medical controllers, and other (economic) decision-makers within targeted Key Accounts.
  • Initiating and implementing value-based concepts and projects to optimize patient care pathways.
  • Understanding the reimbursement and market situation of UCB and competitive products for each account.
  • Collaboration with different stakeholders for consulting and developing commercial clinic strategies, especially account plans.
  • Support customer-specific goals and measures for each account, with regards to inpatient and outpatient reimbursement processes in hospitals (discharge management, NUB, §129a SGB V).
  • Maintaining a network of relationships with national and regional decision-makers in the hospital sector
  • Performing trainings for internal colleagues on state-of-the-art hospital topics
  • Set up of Advanced analytics projects and new DBT/agile (Digital Business Transformation) initiatives

I interested? For this role we’re looking for the followingeducation, experience,and skills

  • Master's degree in business, medical/pharmaceutical, or other relevant scientific fields
  • Several years of successful experience in negotiation of hospital contracts, ideally experience in Key Account Management Health or Hospital Care and/or in sales and/or marketing, experience in hospital controlling is desirable.
  • Strong moderation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness.
  • High analytical and strategic capabilities and able to create actionable insights; ability to understand TA-strategy and turn into hospital strategy taking cost pressure challenges into account
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills.
  • Openness to travel (30% of working time)
