Building Europe’s Nature Trading Platform
Biodiversity is rapidly declining all over Europe. Initially luscious biotopes have been transformed into vast empty landscapes of foodcrops, many dying forests are intentionally dominated by one type of fast-growing trees, the buzzing of insects is at an all-time low. Natural ecosystems are needed to combat the dying of the biosphere. Humanity’s future is dependent on it. Vast renaturation of different landscapes is necessary to bring back indispensable species of flora and fauna and recreate functioning ecosystems, the backbone of human prosperity.

What We Focus On
Landowners need direct incentives to turn their acres back into thriving homes for diverse species. Private companies are increasingly looking towards biodiversity projects for their annual reporting or construction approvals. We are connecting sellers and buyers, by building Europe’s Nature Trading Platform using an established nature valuation system to ensure transparent, standardised and secure investments in nature and biodiversity.
Status Quo & Details
During 2023, we worked together with a software agency to develop an Alpha Version of the online marketplace, culminating in over 500 offered biodiversity projects all over Germany. The focus has been the digitalization of constructing companies’ demand for Nature offsetting sites, as required by German law. This has allowed us to access an already established market and provide additional value by digitalizing a historically manual market. We have also gained good footing within the upcoming market of CSRD, where medium- to big-sized companies are increasingly investing into biodiversity projects for their annual reporting. Our customers include e.on, climatepartner, tennet and more. Marketing efforts so far have included the management of our two websites kompensationsmarkt and green account, the preparation of event participation such as agritechnica 2023, in addition to the supervision of social media posts and other channels.
Qualifikation
Your Role and Opportunities
You’ll be working closely together with our founders and other team members to oversee, plan and integrate various tasks related to the development of our brand. You’ll have relevant responsibilities to use your allocated budget for continuously enhancing the public image of our brands through online marketing, event management, brand management and other strategic efforts. Long-Term planning and flexibility are required for deciding on strategies which positively set us apart from direct competitors, while using your communication and leadership skills to provide guidance for your subordinates. In consultation with the Sales and Product Team, you’ll also oversee the further development of our available websites and how they integrate into the overall customer satisfaction.
