Within the Group, you will join the Group Performance Management (GPM) - Controlling team, based in Paris and Hong Kong. The team is composed of c.15 international executives with a strong background in finance (M&A, actuaries) and/or in strategy (consulting or other), organized in geographic areas (AXA France / AXA XL / AXA IM, Europe, Asia, and International New Markets).
GPM is a Group finance department which offers a unique and centralized point of contact for all business performance monitoring matters. The team is working in close collaboration with entities’ top Management (CFOs, Heads of Controlling) and Group central functions (Operations, HR and technical teams) to feed the MC and the CFO with accurate information.
Its main duty is to steer financial and strategic dialogues with entities and provide the Management Committee with analysis. Reporting to the Management Committee and the CFO are conducted on a monthly basis and complement the financial and strategic cycle (budget, forecast 1 & 2, closing and the Strategic plan).
Role and Responsibilities
GPM is looking for an apprentice to join one of the geographic areas. The main mission of the GPM apprentice is to assist the relevant Associate in monitoring the Entities. Therefore, the GPM apprentice is expected to:
- Support the Associate in preparing monthly analysis covering financial and non-financial performance indicators;
- Support the Associate in providing management presentations and regular update on business performance and budget execution;
- Participate to forecasting, financial planning and budgeting processes, providing right figures and analysis;
- With the support of GPM Associate, prepare benchmarking analysis with external competitors;
- With the support of GPM Associate, prepare ad hoc analysis on business / financial topics.
Your Profile
Education:
Expected skills to successfully achieve the apprenticeship:
- Good understanding of finance and reporting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to organise, analyse and summarise in a clear way
- Fluent in English
