At EasyPark, we love cities. We love them for work, for play and everything in between. That’s why our mission is to make life in cities that much easier – by taking care of the parking. With the use of technology, we break barriers, helping improve the urban experience. At EasyPark it is the people that make the difference. We stay true to and are united by our values of Be Curious, Play Together and Inch by Inch.
While parking is what we do, caring for people – our customers and our team – defines who we are. We are a mix of cultures, nationalities and personalities bringing in various skills, experiences and perspectives, all coming together to digitalize an entire industry. Change is constant. At EasyPark, your ideas result in actions, and every team member has the opportunity to impact our future. We seek people who dare to fail, because growth and innovation requires courage.
By joining us you will contribute to our global vision of making cities more liveable by developing and executing PA strategies that influence parking policies, promote innovation, introduce solutions to improve urban life, and achieve sustainable business growth.
The role
As our Group Public Affairs Lead, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a range of strategies and tactics to navigate complex European government regulations, public opinion, and societal expectations. You will promote and protect EasyPark’s brand and reputation through proactive Public Affairs activities.
You will be part of a growing company that is a global market leader in parking mobility, and will have access to many exciting opportunities, collaborating with colleagues from all corners of the world.
In this role you will:
Develop and implement cluster-specific European PA strategies, focussed on influencing public opinion and building relationships with key stakeholders
Recruit, onboard, and strategically support our network of PA agencies and lobbyists in Europe
Collaborate with the Group PR Managers to ensure alignment and coordination of PR efforts across regions
Partner with the Country Directors, Marketing team, and PR agencies, to develop activities in line with our global strategy
Educate and guide agencies and Country Directors about how to maximize PA when it overlaps with PR to achieve joint objectives
Work closely with the Marketing, Distribution, and Executive teams
Advise senior leadership on PA issues, and potential risks, opportunities, and new/changing policies in the European parking and transportation industry
Support Country Directors with tools and messaging at meetings, conferences, and public events to advocate for EasyPark’s interests and promote our position
Monitor and analyse political, legislative, and regulatory developments in Europe that may impact our operations and reputation
Support the Group PR Managers in monitoring our reputation in Europe, including responding to media inquiries and developing messages in relation to crisis communications
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging PA issues in Europe
About you
We don’t know you yet, but you might recognize yourself in the following:
Your superpower is your political savvy. This allows you to anticipate political changes, identify opportunities, and effectively advocate for EasyPark. You are a master strategist, except instead of armies, you're briefing lobbyists and agencies to lead the cluster strategies.
You develop proactive approaches, anticipate every possible outcome, and effectively navigate the ever-moving political landscape. In PA, the only constant is change: policies shift, regulations evolve, and politicians come and go. You have a backup plan for your backup plan because you never know when the political winds will change.
Another superpower is your cultural competence: Europe is a melting pot of cultures, languages, and political systems. You can navigate any cross-cultural differences with respect and sensitivity.
Your background
We don’t think one size fits all, but to highlight just a few, the successful candidate might have the following:
8+ years of PA experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and German or French would be beneficial), with the ability to build relationships with senior executives and influence decision-makers
Experience of running successful lobbying campaigns, ideally overseeing and delivering global or pan-European PA strategies
Network of contacts with think tanks, local municipalities, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing PA strategies
This role will based from our UK office, however, we are open to considering other EasyPark Hub locations such as France and Germany.
