In this role you will be responsible to enable ABB robotics to create more ecologically sustainable product offering through introduction and management of framework for full transparency to environmental impacts of ABB robotics offering across the entire product range through their lifecycles. You will also be overseeing fulfillment of wider product management function organizational goals by coordinating activities and processes within product management and connecting to other stakeholders in other functions. The ideal candidate is located in Sweden.
Your responsibilities
- Sustainability framework in Product Management: Develop and implement strategies for integrating Sustainability and energy efficiency into the product lifecycle, from conception to market launch.
- Market Communication: Craft compelling narratives and marketing message that highlight the sustainable and energy-efficient aspects of our products to customers and stakeholders. Work closely together with marketing and communications to develop communication strategies around sustainability.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers directly and/or through sales, to understand their needs regarding sustainability, translating this feedback into actionable insights for product development.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product managers, business lines, R&D, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to sustainability in product development and communication.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to understand sustainability trends and competitor approaches, positioning our products effectively in the market.
- Compliance and Standards Awareness: Ensure product compliance with environmental regulations and standards, staying abreast of changes in legislation. Collaborate closely with counterparts in R&D, Operations and other related functions
- Training and Support: Identify training needs, create training content and conduct trainings to support sales and marketing teams, and other relevant functions, on the sustainable features of our products.
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators related to Sustainability and energy efficiency in ABB product offering.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on the latest in sustainable technologies and practices, integrating innovative ideas into our product offerings.
- Overseeing fulfillment of wider product management function organizational goals by coordinating activities and processes within product management and connecting to other stakeholders in other functions.
Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Leadership, Business admin or a related field.
- Experience through educational background or previous career in one or more of the fields of sustainability, circularity, energy efficiency for industrial products.
- Strong project management and leadership skills; leading without direct authority.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with industrial robotics or automation is an advantage.
- A passion for a ‘sustainable future’, staying updated on industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Empathic personality with good capabilities and mindset for driving change and awareness in a large organization
