Finance Analyst / Finance Administrator (m/f/d)

Berlin / Düsseldorf / München / Frankfurt am Main

Our specialist finance and economics team is comprised of a wonderful group of multi-dimensional people from various backgrounds; with a common skillset, background or interest in finance and economics. Our work covers a variety of sectors from Transport and Energy to Climate and Nature, and we welcome those from a diverse range of cultural, academic and professional perspectives to contribute to our collaborative team.

Join our Finance Department in shaping the financial future of our Germany group. As a Financial Analyst within our commercial team, you’ll engage in vital activities such as monthly reporting, KPI tracking, variance analysis, preparing the annual business plan, and forecasting. You willl also support project teams with financial insights and oversee project financial forecasts. This role is a gateway to making a significant impact, offering the chance to work closely with senior management and contribute to our strategic goals. Your workplace will be Berlin and partially remote.

Your Role in our Team
  • Reporting to the Commercial Business Partner of Germany
  • Control financial forecasts for projects in Germany
  • Assist in project management by providing financial forecasting and comparing actual revenues/costs to budget.
  • Prepare draft semi-annual outputs and annual financial plans for Arup Germany.
  • Review monthly results to understand project gains/losses.
  • Facilitate commercial meetings and execute the monthly project review process.
  • Maintain Power BI reports and manage finance-related content on our intranet site.
  • Support job number applications and CRM processes.
  • Train staff on financial, reporting, and project forecasting systems
  • Collaborate with finance groups across the Europe region

We Seek the following qualifications, attributes and skills:

  • Holds a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Initial experience in finance, gained through internships or as a working student, is desirable but not compulsory indicating a readiness to apply foundational financial knowledge
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking with an adeptness at understanding and reporting financial key figures
  • Has a strong affinity for data analysis and data modelling
  • Proficient in Excel and has experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus but not a requirement
