AdresseYOUR MISSION:
As Engineering Manager for the Data Platform team (f/m/d)*, you will empower and lead your team to design and build Parloa's Data Platform. The Data Platform will power Parloa's data and machine learning products as well as analytics for decision intelligence and needs to be ready for petabyte scale. The infrastructure you build will make an impact to transform the entire customer service industry leveraging data and AI. You will make a difference for your engineers by supporting their growth and motivating them to solve complex challenges as a team.
You will work closely with Elisabeth to build the Data Platform.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Hire and lead a team of 4-5 Data Platform engineers, building a culture of collaboration and technical excellence
- Provide a strong vision for the Data Platform at Parloa in accordance with business needs
- Empower your team take ownership of building and improving the Data Platform at Parloa, including data ingestion, data lake/house, tooling for building data pipelines, orchestration, data catalog & lineage, streaming infrastructure, serving layer
- Act as the technical product owner for the Data Platform, anticipating and prioritizing the needs of users effectively in compliance with data governance and protection requirements
- Develop your reports via effective feedback and providing them with growth opportunities
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 7+ years of experience as a data engineer and/or technical lead, including experience as a Data Platform engineer
- 3+ years of experience as a people manager, experience in leading Data Platform teams is a plus
- Track record of designing Data Platforms in accordance with legal requirements with a clear focus on data quality and observability
- Experience with the cloud Data Platforms, Azure is a strong bonus
- Experience in leading large and complex technical projects (1 year+ roadmap)
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with machine learning operations is a plus

Microsoft Azure, Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, MongoDB, Redis (more technologies to be added as we build our Data Platform, like e.g. DeltaLake)
