Train Cost Manager (f/m/d)

As a Train Cost Manager, your mission is to animate the design cost within Tender and Project platforms ensuring implementation of the Alstom processes and set up a system to track and guide the development teams to achieve the cost objectives.

 

Key accountabilities:
•    Coordinate the whole Design to Cost studies and metiers to meet the agreed objectives
•    Insure the transformation of the listed opportunities into validated cost reduction versus base line
•    Be the “voice” of the Design to Cost in the Tender or Project team, insure and organize regular Steering Committees to report on the progresses
•    Support the Product Platforms to keep track of the Spent and forecast, and support the development teams to achieve the cost objectives
•    Ensure alignment with the product definition and put in place close communication with and between all the Design to Cost and Core Teams metiers
•    Update at least monthly the Tender and Project Teams of costs and stakes
•    Design and execute action plans and ensure the transformation of identified potential into validated savings

 

Key Requirements:
•    You hold a Master Degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical background is desirable
•    You have 2 years relevant cost planning experience
•    You have good industrial process knowledge
•    You are a hands-on organising person
•    You are an excellent communicator
•    You represent excellent customer focus
•    You are proactive and can respond to pressing issues and challenges with agility
•    Proficient in English and German languages
