Director of Business Development (m/f/d)

Our client is a pioneering technology company that leverages blockchain technology to create transparent and secure supply chains, while also establishing an economic identity for the world's underbanked population. With a vision rooted in social impact, they are revolutionizing industries by offering innovative solutions that bring visibility, traceability, and efficiency to global transactions, contributing to a more inclusive global economy. The company is seeking an enterprising and seasoned Director of Sales Development for our Europe region. The role is critical to expanding our presence and driving new business in this strategic market. The ideal candidate will not only have a deep understanding of blockchain or software technology, GPS technology, and RFID technology but also a hunter's mentality - an ability to seek and secure untapped business opportunities rather than merely managing existing markets. Responsibilities:
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the CPG, Mining, Fashion, Textile, Food & Beverage, industries in the Europe region, demonstrating a strong 'hunter' mentality.
  • Develop and propose innovative solutions to potential clients leveraging knowledge of blockchain or software technology, GPS technology, and RFID technology.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, with a focus on opening new accounts and markets.
  • Clearly articulate our unique value proposition to potential clients, demonstrating how our technology can address their specific needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions for potential clients.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and closing, with a focus on new business acquisition.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Provide market feedback to company leadership regarding competitive offerings prospect needs, and generate product development ideas.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in a 'hunter' sales role
  • Experience with new business acquisition in one or more of the following: CPG, Food, Beverage, Mining, Fashion, and Textile industries.
  • Proven track record of selling enterprise software to large accounts in Europe.
  • Strong experience in SaaS, blockchain, GPS, RFID or software technology,
