THE ROLE
As a DevOps Middleware Engineer at Zattoo, you’ll be responsible for mastering a robust and reliable delivery pipeline and smooth infrastructure usability for your team. You will work at the intersection of the operations team which is the home of site reliability engineers and network engineers. As an ideal candidate, you’ll have a background in software engineering and be familiar with Python or Golang. You strive to implement integrations that accelerate and secure our delivery. You’ll work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and implement new development tools and infrastructure
- Accelerate middleware/backend teams by taking care of CI/CD deployment pipeline
- Compose and improve public cloud setup
- Automate and improve development and release processes
- Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps in a distributed services environment focused on high availability
- Experience in public cloud providers (ideally GCP) and IaC solutions (such as Pulumi, Terraform)
- Profound knowledge in web server/proxy technologies (such as nginx, Lua, API gateway solutions)
- Proficiency with Container Orchestration and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge with databases (SQL/NoSQL) as well as monitoring and observability tooling
- Experience in programming (ideally Python or Golang)
- Bonus: BS/MS degree in computer science or similar discipline
- Bonus: Experience with service-oriented architecture and/or event-driven architectures with integrated external (3rd party) services
