ABOUT CBRE GLOBAL INVESTMENT ADMINISTRATION
CBRE Global Investment Administration Germany GmbH was founded in 2015 as result of the spin-off of the finance department of CBRE Global Investors Germany GmbH. CBRE Global Investment Administration is a subsidiary of CBRE Group and employs around 170 professionals providing comprehensive fund accounting, reporting and administration services to real estate investment managers, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors with global real estate portfolios no matter where they deploy capital globally.
WHAT KIND OF ASSIGNMENTS CAN YOU EXPECT?
The financial controller manages design & construction accounting for real estate developments, redevelopments, large capital improvements and renovation or tenant improvement projects for a highly complex or strategic portfolio of CBRE clients and properties.
· Coordinate and prepare development cost reports
· Liaise with Design & Construction-, property management- and asset management teams to establish approved budget.
· Ensure all project costs to date are recorded and future cost and risks are monitored (construction, consultants and fees and costs)
· Work with project executives to update and review anticipated project costs, including monthly variance report.
· Coordinate preparation of funding requests to lenders and partners
· Assist in the preparation of financial reporting
· Provide required supporting documentation to auditors
· Resolves and responds to escalated issues and requests from Account Management Team, Real Estate Management Team, and Clients, including answering questions from other departments, locations and divisions regarding various accounting issues and reports, including profit and loss reports.
· Mentors and provides training and guidance to team members on financial reporting functions and duties. Leads by example and serves as a role model for team members.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in accounting, finance, real estate business or related field
- A minimum of 3 years working experience in a construction- or real estate environment
- Good understanding of German Accounting and Tax
- Knowledge of the German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial information
- Self-confidence, open personality
- Ability to work in a team but also independently
· Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
- Specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Fluent English skills, German on a native level preferred
- Willingness to frequently travel within Germany
