The product line Communications Manager will be part of the robotics product communications team and of the PL digital and software team. The candidate will have the role to translate the PL software and digital product line strategy into an actionable communication plan and execute accordingly as well as to position the ABB Robotics digital portfolio features into compelling messages and stories that positions ABB robotics as the leader in robotics automation.

Your responsibilities

• Translate the Product Line strategy into a targeted, global customer-focused communications plan and tactics that support internal and external positioning and growth.
• Work closely with product management to develop creative communication assets positioning ABB Robotics as the leader in robotics automation.
• Act as a translator, converting technological features into reader-friendly benefits and unique selling points to position ABB Robotics against competitors effectively.
• Support the marketing team by providing compelling content for demand generation campaigns.
• Develop robust product communication launch plans to achieve agreed KPIs and target groups effectively. Collaborate with the content team to produce thought leadership pieces, social media content, online content, and materials for trade shows and events.
• Coordinate with Communications leads in countries to ensure content sharing and execution of in-country communications plans that support positioning and growth. Proactively source stories with business stakeholders to provide proof points supporting the region’s strategic direction and priorities. Coordinate the creation and dissemination of customer success stories.
• Manage stories and content effectively across various communications tools and channels (internal and external) to reach defined audiences and meet communication objectives. Evaluate and pursue media opportunities. Coordinate media interviews, support media spokespersons with key messages, Q&A sessions, and provide media training as needed.
• Ensure consistent internal communication cascades, utilizing all internal events, platforms, and channels effectively.

Your background

• At least 5 years of experience in products communications or product marketing for B2B technologies
• Native English or professional proficiency, excellent spoken and written editorial skills.
• Good technical understanding and interest in learning about new technologies
• Experience in a highly matrixed organization and in coordinating with and working across geographies.
• Practice in building and collaborating with formal and informal networks at all levels of an organization.
• Strong business acumen, expected to develop a deep and sophisticated understanding of the business, the portfolio, trends and key decision makers/influencers, as well as an understanding of the key drivers for success.
• Intercultural sensitivity and experienced in cross-functional, international collaboration and building strong personal networks
• Action-oriented, strong attention to detail, able to take ownership of large and complex projects and see them through to completion with a high standard of excellence
• Positive and passionate personality, with a strong drive to challenge the status quo and continuously improve things
