Located in the most exciting state-of-the-art development in DTLA, this luxurious 28-story hotel has over 300 rooms, a spa, 16,000 square foot rooftop with a pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes a signature restaurant, outdoor restaurant, lobby bar, and in-room dining all in partnership with Chef Jose Andres' award-wining restaurant group, JoseAndresFoodGroup.

In this role as the Accounting Analyst you will be responsible for responding to guest inquiries, resolving guest billing disputes, performing month-end duties and preparing daily receivables in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. 

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hotel work experience in Finance or Administration required.  One year of experience in Accounts Receivable in a hotel or related field required. OnQ experience is preferred. High school diploma or GED required. The ideal candidate must possess good communication skills. General knowledge of accounting operations and aptitude for figures. Solid communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing. Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using various computer software programs such as Word and Excel. Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after team member begins work. Ability to quickly analyze and solve problems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Office machines: operate calculator/10-key by touch, copier, fax, telephone.

What will I be doing?

  • Research and resolve disputes, prepare journal entries, and contact guest by phone or fax on a timely basis.
  • Answer customer service calls and complete phone request form.
  • Research and respond to charge inquiries on a timely basis.
  • Send copies of guest folios on a timely basis via fax or mail.
  • Maintain all accounts receivable activities and group billing, reviewing aging, liaises with Corporate AR/Billing team and Hotel team to follow-up and resolve past due accounts and customer invoices until payment in full is received or resolved. Set up new accounts in accordance with established credit policy. Reconciling open account status items, guest ledger, and city ledger. Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management.

The hourly rate range is $25 - $27 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
