Werkstudent (m/w/d) im Bereich Acoustic Construction

The position is opened in the Acoustic System Engineering department in Garching bei Muenchen to support the Acoustic Construction team.

Your Team & Product

Acoustic Construction team will work close together with Acoustic System Engineers to design, development and tuning -Prove of Concepts- (POC’s). You will be introduced to all aspects of development, implementation, and audio tuning as well in the field of car audio. Your responsibilities

• Preparation of cars for sound-tuning (speaker installation, wiring check, assembling of trim panels, acoustical treatment)
• Support of building prototypes for prove of concepts (e.g., with 3D-Printer)
• Flashing of amplifiers
• Support of electrical and acoustical measurements
• Administration of car labs & equipment: Preparation of test rigs and loudspeaker enclosures, maintenance of equipment
• soldering of customized harness
• Documentation

Your Skills / Qualifications

• Technical interest (Electronics or Mechanics)
• Graduated -Handwerks- education it’s a benefit
• Experience within the Automotive Industry or car aftermarket
• Experience in working on cars
• Experience in using and understanding audio and automotive tools
• Knowledge about loudspeakers
• You know something about CAD
• Self-motivated, passionate about audio and automotive
• Ability to meet project deadlines through good planning and organizational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferably fluent in English

Nice to have

• Willing to travel to Harman sites within Europe (up to 10% of the time)
• Drivers License
