Used Car Refurb Manager, Germany (M/W/D)

As Tesla’s growth trajectory increases as do our used vehicle trade in volumes. In the Used Cars business, we give Tesla cars a second life, providing customers with a similar experience as of buying a new car, while supporting our mission.

Responsible for the refurbishment strategy and operations in the market, you will be in charge of setting up and leading our dedicated refurb locations, driving KPIs for quick turnaround, refurbishment costs and resale quality, aligning and collaborating with the Used Car Sales Lead. You will build the team and lead/develop them to deliver excellence. What You’ll Do:

• Direct and focus the resources within Used Car Refurb function to achieve best outcomes whilst driving robust and flexible processes to meet current and future business demands
• Build and coach a team of supervisors and technicians across the market, giving them tools and clear objectives to be successful and meet Used Cars refurb targets.
• Proactively lead the team, being present in the field and ensuring individuals are empowered to make the right local decisions to drive the business forward
• Regularly review KPIs, identifying trends and reviewing in more detail with leaders to quickly address any negative trends or issues
• Manage financials from a Used Car Refurb perspective for the country, maintaining an overview of cost savings, employee expenses, operational costs, profit and loss and revenue
• Lead the market’s growth and product expansion plans, while addressing the Used Cars long term strategy
• Liaise closely with broader business areas including, but not limited to Sales, Delivery, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), HR, Recruitment, ensuring a strong network of peers

What You’ll Bring:

• A proven background of leading an organization or national business function
• Strong bias for data and impact driven
• Ability to move between a high-level, holistic business approach and communicating with employees on a grass-roots level
• Excellent organization skills, with experience of high-level reporting
• Experience of working in an agile environment, where you have responded quickly to changing business needs
• An open and approachable leadership style, with experience of leading, motivating, and coaching people
• Regular travel in the market will be required
• German and English language required
