We are looking for a University Graduate to join our Cyber Underwriting team based in Munich.

Your Team:
Our Underwriting teams work with companies worldwide to create insurance solutions designed for specific industries and business challenges, supporting customers as diverse as the world's largest consumer brands, tech companies and the global aviation and shipping industry, but also floating wind parks, private pilots or Hollywood film actors.
The Cyber team assess First- and Third-Party Cyber exposures including financial, legal compliance and ESG risks of large corporate companies to quantify pricing and develop solutions for our clients to cover their risks. Mainly dealing with large corporate clients and international brokers, they develop individual solutions based on the threat landscape and client needs. Allianz has a market leading position in Cyber in Germany, and we service almost all major DAX accounts.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the underwriting process, both on a national and an international level. Cyber is a fast developing and very interesting area for graduates who are especially interested in IT, Economics, ESG.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Support underwriting of new and renewal accounts, performing pre-underwriting activities such as sanction checks and collating claims data
- Chase brokers for additional / outstanding underwriting information
- Model risks using our pricing tools
- Attend meetings with brokers and clients alongside the underwriting team.
- Handle document management and update systems for the team
- Liaise with other functions including Operations, Credit Control and Claims
- Develop and maintain peer relationships with brokers, clients and other Underwriting teams
- Participate in technical training sessions
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Completion of a bachelor or master’s degree in Economics, Law or other appropriate discipline by October 2024
- Adaptability and Flexibility- Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure.
- Communication- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork- Have a pro-active and positive attitude to teamwork, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities
- Learning Mindset/ Ambition- A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development.
- Analytical Thinking- Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study, or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions, and present solutions to others
- Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluent English and German language skills
Further Information:
- Duration: This is a permanent opportunity. After extensive training during the first 12 months of our Graduate Programme, you will continue to work within the team and benefit from the lifelong learning opportunities that Allianz Commercial offers.
- Working Hours: 38 hours per week.
- Start Date: September 2024.
