UI Front End Developer

Position Description:

CGI is looking for an UI Front End Developer to join our team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Within the client’s team, you will act as a UI / FrontEnd Developer on our products.
• You will participate in the evolution of existing graphical UI interface and the conception of the new ones to integrate all the products developed by the team.
• You will collaborate close to other team developers and designers to implement engaging and intuitive user experiences.
• You will integrate the delivery team in Porto (development + tests) and will collaborate on daily basis with the team members in Paris.
Main Functions:
• Conceive, design and develop reusable UI components and widges that can be used across different pages or applications to maintain consistency and efficiency;
• Create mockups and wireframes to support the development of responsive and interactive user interface using JavaScript frameworks;
• Conduct usability testing regarding feedback from users and iterate on design;
• Collaborate with designers, architects and developers to implement user interfaces components and interactions;
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility;
• Upgrade the applications with the latest frontend industry development regarding trends and technologies;
• Be responsible for unit test of the UI components and globally participate on the end-to-end tests of the existing applications;
• Work together and closely with other team developers to integrate frontend components as part of the application packaging;
• Contribute to functional and technical specifications according to client’s internal architecture guidelines;
• Participate on agile ceremonies (daily meetings, reviews, replenishing and retrospectives);
• Participate in Code Review/Pair Programing activities, challenging the team and sharing ideas.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Main skills:
• Proficient in Angular framework / HTML5 / Javascript / CSS / Bootstrap / Angular Material / Typescript;
• Master reactive programming paradigm - RxJs;
• Master NgStore State Management – strong experience with a state container for JavaScript like Redux;
• Good experience using WebSockets and notifications handling;
• Strong experience and understanding of the HTML protocol;
• Strong experience with RESTful API;
• Good knowledge and experience on Strong authentication – Single Sign-On authentication mechanism using OOuth2 and SAML v2;
• Good knowledge and experience with SSL/TSL over HTTP;
• Good knowledge and experience with Git;
• Knowledge and experience with React framework;
• Autonomous, rigorous with a high personal commitment;
• Be curious and proactive searching for new solutions;
• Be critical and constructive on the solutions analysis;
• Aims to learn and use the latest technologies;
• Autonomous, rigorous with a high personal commitment;
• Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and prioritize work against competing deadlines and changing business priorities;
• Good interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication;
• Team spirit;
• English (Fluent);
• More than 5 years of experience.
