Transport Planner

Salary: £27,000
Contract Type: Permanent
Shift patterns: e.g. 4 on, 4 off – 08:00 to 18:00 - 10 hour Shifts
Location: Purfleet - RM19 1TT

DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to play a vital role ensuring continuous improvement of planning processes within the transport department.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Planning of delivery routes (stores, hubs including 5 outbases)
• Planning night trunks
• Using paragon software (occasionally)
• Planning in TraderMan
• Responding to customer queries and keeping them up to date with any on route issues
• Supporting FLMs with transport operation (planning annual leave cover, resources)
• Deal with CFX invoices and any Ad hoc queries
• Monitoring fleet and drivers requirements
• Basic customer service communication to the store managers regarding deliveries

• Previous proven planning experience
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft excel
• Organisational & administrate skills
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines
