As a Technical Sales Support Manager, your role will be to manage, develop and coach the IAPI Growth Industries Solutions, Process Automation, Process Industries, Sales Support team in İstanbul, Türkiye, aiding the sales organization in finding optimal solutions to meet customers’ needs. In this role you will create, implement and review local sales strategies in line with the global strategy. You will also define key targets for sales and customer support.
Your responsibilities
- Creates, implements and reviews local Sales Support strategy,
- Defines key targets and ensures these are achiveved for the customer support, Oversees the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources, Ensures all proposals follow relevant ABB procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements,
- Ensures most competitive offers taking into account the market situation and customer’s conditions,
- Identifies which approach (e.g. direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer,
- Oversees the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing)in each offer,
- Assigns and allocates internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation,
- Support bid / no bid analyses and decisions,
- Ensures support to the sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and provides technical support and clarifications as needed,
- Ensures (with HR Manager) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed,
- Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies,
- Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross collaboration.
Your background
- University degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering,
- At least 10 years or more experience in MV & LV Systems, process control systems and site installation for industrial projects,
- Strong background in Medium and Low Voltage systems including technical offering, homologation process and clarifications,
- Experience in contractual negotiation is highly preferred,
- Strong ability to present the product and organization technically and commercially, Good command of written and spoken English and Turkish,
- Agile, teamwork and result-oriented profile with strong interpersonal & communication skills,
- Able to work with diverse cultures,
- No restriction to travel abroad if needed.
