For the Self Custody Operations department in our company State Street Bank International GmbH in Munich we are looking for a Tax Analyst (m/f/d) with immediate effect.

Major Responsibilities

  • Processing of daily business
  • Generate EFP source files based on EFP files received by Global Tax Service Quincy and send to the German Tax Authority for electronic reclaim files.
  • Create Tax Vouchers i.e. to support German paper reclaims and submit reclaim packages to the German tax authority on behalf of clients.
  • Act as single point of contact to the German tax authority and update Global Tax Services Quincy in respect of rejected reclaims and issues with reclaims
  • Inform the Global Income department about paid reclaims
  • Handle withholding tax on German income payments for our global client base and submit the withholding tax to the German tax authority
  • Process withholding taxes for tax liable clients on interest payments and generate tax statements
  • Handle tax processing for investment fund distributions and accumulations
  • Bookkeeping of internal tax accounts
  • Issue single and accumulative tax vouchers for our Bank Multi clients upon request
  • Act as single point of contact for special clients and processes
  • Review and update SLAs / SOPs concerning tax topics
  • Create specifications for change requests and application improvements
  • Test new application functionalities and support IT developments
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in projects
  • Critical review of daily processes and process enhancements

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Appropriate educational training in finance/taxes/accounting/business or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated communication skills and service orientation
  • Proficient in English and German language mandatory for the role
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changes
  • Team orientation
  • Strong sense of quality and commitment to interact with internal or external clients effectively and professionally
  • Knowledge of tax law regulations and market standards
