We are looking for you, located in Trier (with 60% home office option) as a
System Engineer (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
Planning, Installation & Management of ORBIS® environments and periphery during all phases of Software Lifecycle from the initial setup of Development-, Continuous Integration-, QA- and Released-Environments to decommissioning.
Operation and maintenance activities of environments include updates, upgrades, installation of additional software, health check & monitoring and decommissioning / archiving.
Monitoring of Infrastructure including proactive/in-time problem solving to ensure availability of all environments and services.
Update Log Analysis and Defect Management for Update related issues
Packaging of ORBIS Software Deliveries and execution of technical checks to ensure content and quality of software packages complies the requested package.
Support of internal customers in development, quality assurance and other departments that use our systems and services.
Automation of workflows in close collaboration with our tooling developers.
Onboarding of new Software to our Test Environment Landscape in cooperation with Testers, Product Owners, and Developers.
Your qualifications and skill requirements:
A degree (Bachelor or Master) in computer science or equivalent
Experience in service or customer oriented professional IT environment
IT technical skill (more than 5 year of experience), software administration and/or operation
Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, bash, etc.), Linux Operating System, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Infrastructure Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Interest in and ability to make workflows and activities efficient and automated.
Ability to quickly understand the relations between entities, their dependencies, and its consequences for the infrastructure. Knowledge in the following areas will be considered an advantage:GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, Terraform, Wildfly
Accurate work, demanding high quality of the work done.
Good self-organizational skills and ability to handle several parallel tasks properly.
Customer focus and service oriented.
Fluent in English.
Optional skills:
Knowledge of additional scripting languages (python, go, groovy)
Experience in Operation & Administration of ORBIS®
Experience in Jenkins Automation Server
Experience in Oracle Database Administration
