The mission statement of Supplier tooling Manager is to help SOM, GSM, SIE and engineers make better technical decisions & cost savings throughout new product developments & changes
Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements (e.g. part, rate, schedule, cost, etc.) for new tool programs
Advise the suppliers through the DFM, design, construction, and modifications of tools, including follow up on schedules
Advise our SOM and GSM purchasing teams on costs related to tools
Based on key performance indicators, you demand continuous improvement from your suppliers
You also continuously undertake market research and benchmarking in order to benefit from new trends in the global supplier market
Good understanding in manufacturing equipment design and CAPEX, supplier bases, and actual capacities, support the supply chain team to have better timing and pricing from CAPEX suppliers with the target of part price savings

BS in Mechanical Engineering OR equivalentrelevant combinations of training/experience
Experience designing mechanical equipment,fixturing, and tooling in CAD (Catia, Unigrafix, or SolidWorks)
Experience designing in 2D (AutoCAD) and/or3D (Catia/SolidWorks) environments
Experience in plastic as well as stampingtools (steel and aluminum)
Demonstrated project management abilities
