Student Assistant Institutional Donor Relations*

in Bonn

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. In coordination with your team, working from home is also possible from time to time. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. The position is remunerated with 14 Euro per hour.

Welthungerhilfe's Institutional Donor Relations Unit builds and maintains relationships with Institutional Donors, supports internal knowledge management and advises our Country Offices on the review of project proposals, contracts and donor reports. As Student Assistant, you will support your colleagues in their daily work and focus primarily on the cooperation with our Grants & Contracts team. In doing so, you will gain a comprehensive insight into the activities of the organization and get to know the different areas of work of an international operating NGO.

Your responsibilities

  • General financial administration tasks
  • Support in the preparation of external audits
  • Support Welthungerhilfe's Grants & Contracts team with project proposals, change requests, fund requests and financial reports
  • Data entry/maintenance of donor online portals
  • Maintenance of relevant tables and overviews
  • Other support work as required

Your profile

  • You are currently enrolled at university/college.
  • You have experience in dealing with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ideally, you have already gained some experience in the area of financial administration.
  • A high level of organizational diligence and an affinity for numbers characterize you.
  • You enjoy working in an international environment.
  • Your spoken and written English language skills are very good, German language skills would be an asset.
