The Opportunity
This position supports the global Cardiometabolic and Informatics business unit. Our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges.
As the Sr. Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager, you will be responsible for creating and leading the global advancement of OpEx initiatives across the business unit. Scope includes global manufacturing sites and BU cross-functional teams spanning Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and Regulatory. You will drive continuous improvement in multiple facets while delivering business results.
What You’ll Work On
- Responsible for leading global teams to translate vision and strategic goals into actionable Operational Excellence annual objectives including delivery of site and global OpEx roadmaps
- Promote and foster a culture of continuous improvement serving as change agent
- Provide structured problem-solving support utilizing various tools and methodologies
- Monitor and influence site OpEx initiatives while providing global direction and framework
- Create value through delivery of Lean and Six Sigma tools such as VSM, GEMBA, 6S, DMAIC and SMED
- Drive identification of early signals and opportunities through data analytics
- Provide Operational Excellence updates to Operations and Quality Senior Management including measurement against key performance goals and business metrics
- Continue to build awareness and engagement of Operational Excellence principles and methodologies through effective communication, education & training
- Perform internal and external benchmarking to measure success and identify improvement opportunities
- Provide strategic thinking to anticipate future issues and challenges and create appropriate plans now, using proactive approaches
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Lean Six Sigma Belt certification with a minimum 6 years of demonstrated success in applying Continuous Improvement / OpEx tools
- Minimum 10 years related experience supporting operations and manufacturing
- International and domestic travel 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree, MBA desirable, but not necessary
- Proven history of delivering results in a similar role
- Effective and exceptional communication (verbal and written) with tact and diplomacy are critical
- Attention to detail and ability to manage several priorities at one time, with excellent problem solving and logical thinking skills

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 – $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
