About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a (Sr.) GaN Device Manager (m/f/d) to join us on our fantastic GaN journey as we incorporate this wide band gap technology to enable more efficient energy solutions, from increasing mileage on electric vehicles to improving battery charge.

We are seeking open-minded, unconventional thinkers with a passion for problem-solving and the drive to make tomorrow’s vision today’s reality.

As a (Sr.) GaN Device Manager (m/f/d), you will have a choice of specialisation in characterisation and test or design and simulation, and you can be based in our offices in Manchester, Munich, or Hamburg with remote working also considered from selected locations within Europe. You will focus and own all device development aspects of the GaN products and be accountable to R&D goals and technology roadmaps.

What you will do

  • Define a path and work plans to achieve required product releases
  • Coach, mentor, manage and recruit team members
  • Influence all GaN technology development activities
  • Carry out device product testing and device simulations
  • Carry out device simulations and influence development and characterization
  • Influence GaN strategic decision-making

What you will need

  • PhD or equivalent in Experimental Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of power semiconductor devices, ideally wide band gap GaN HEMTs
  • Proven track record of accomplishment in an engineering or technology management role
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Produce clear technical reports and concise executive summaries
