What part will you play?
As a member of an agile and cross-functional team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- You will contribute to the ongoing maintenance and updates of the operating system for our protective devices in energy networks
- Furthermore, you will make adjustments to the bootloader and kernel (Linux, RTOS) and port them to our ARM-based hardware platforms
- You will be involved in the design, development, and testing of new and existing Linux drivers
- Additionally, you will diagnose and resolve operating system and hardware-related field issues
- The base of your profile is a completed master's degree in computer science, technical computer science, or a comparable qualification
- In addition, you have several years of experience in scripting languages such as Python and Bash scripting
- You possess solid knowledge in some of the following areas and you are interested in expanding your expertise in other fields:
- Operating Systems: Embedded Linux and/or Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Adaptation of kernel drivers
- Development in the field of embedded systems with real-time requirements
- Bootloader
- Git and DevOps-based software development is is familiar to you
- You program confidently in C/C++ and are familiar with modern, professional software systems.
- A structured, solution-oriented, and goal-oriented approach and work methodology characterizes you
- You communicate fluently in both German and English
