As part of our growing groupwide Systems Department, we are looking for a full-time
Software Developer (m/f/d)
The role is primarily home-based, for an employee with residency in either the EU or the UK. Approximately three weeks per year on-site in Cologne will be necessary.
The Software Developer will add a coding specialism to our forward-thinking team of technical experts. The initial focus of the role will be an ongoing systems integration project, within which we have begun to develop a suite of back-end apps that automate key business processes. We are looking to accelerate this project through the appointment of a skilled developer, who will work in close alignment with our Systems and IT leadership teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy and support bespoke business software, with a particular focus on systems integration
- Develop and manage robust SQL database solutions
- Perform robust testing and debugging to ensure reliability, responsiveness and efficiency
Job Profile:
- Skills & Experience
- Current .NET development experience, e.g. C#, F# & Visual Basic
- Ability to write complex SQL queries, functions and procedures
- Familiarity with a range of web development languages, e.g. HTML & ASP.Net
- Strong knowledge of data modelling and database design
- High level of understanding of software development lifecycle practices
- Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English (German skills are not required)

- Willing to build understanding of technical systems and learn new skills
- Able to balance multiple priorities and still achieve thoughtful and high-quality contributions
