You will be working as Senior Tax Specialist and will be part of Finance Services business for Finance and Accounting Operations division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Tax Manager and will be responsible to provide tax expertise in their assigned area among capital structures, legal structures, cross-border reorganizations, transfer pricing, intra-group arrangements, tax accounting and reporting, or any other tax matters, and tax strategies that reflect the overall strategy and global initiatives

Your responsibilities

• Assisting with strategic decisions, design new reports/checks in the ITX DA tool and contribute to developing and improving global software solutions for identifying anomalies with the impact of VAT/GST/SST area
• Onboard new countries: analyze ITX data and provide outcomes to the countries according to the TOM, adjust dictionary logic, train and support end users on application functionalities
• Analyzing ITX DA data and provide monthly analytical outcome to the countries in scope (Tax Function/ Tax Operations team) according to the TOM
• Performing the UATs for the false alarm and bug elimination and solve false anomalies in ITX DA tools/ adjust dictionary logic
• Preparing the dictionary sign off questionnaires for the quarterly DSO process and reviewing the dictionary sign off questionnaires after the quarterly sign off
• Supporting end users on ITX DA tools functionalities and manage bugs for troubleshooting the reporting environment
• Analyzing reports and identify areas where improvements can be made and manage bugs for troubleshooting the reporting environment

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• 5 years of relevant experience in Taxes or minimum 2 years of experience in Indirect tax specializing in compliance activities( eg. Return Preparation).
• Accountancy knowledge with a tax background or vice versa
• Solid understanding of indirect taxes in an international context in multinational environments
• Proficiency in working with MS Office and solid SAP knowledge
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, creativity and problem-solving skills
