The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Adobe Journey Optimizer team based in Bucharest and to be responsible for the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, measurement, optimization, and improvement of software, new products, and code libraries across platforms.
Adobe Journey Optimizer helps companies deliver connected, contextual, and personalized experiences to their customers. The customer journey is the entire process of a customer’s interactions with the brand, from the first moment of contact until the customer leaves. It starts with the awareness phase, where the customer learns about the brand and starts engaging. The customer will then further interact with the brand, visit online and physical sites, and make purchases, send messages or post reviews.
Adobe Journey Optimizer is built natively on Adobe Experience Platform and combines a unified, real-time customer profile, an API-first open framework, centralized offer decisioning, and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for personalization and optimization. Journey Optimizer allows brands to intelligently determine the next best interaction with scale, speed, and flexibility across the entire customer journey. With Adobe Journey Optimizer, companies can create and deliver both scheduled marketing campaigns (such as weekly promotions for a retail store) and tailored individual communications (like a push notification for an item that a loyalty app customer may have looked at that was previously out of stock) within the same application.
What you’ll do:
Partners with multi-functional experts (Product Management, Design, etc.) to determine customer focused solutions.
Uses standard methodologies, articulates ideas, & markets them across team and organization. Promotes a culture of continuous learning.
Leads application/framework/service design efforts, optimizing for quality, testability, and scale.
Uses appropriate & meaningful programming languages and technologies, writes code, tests & deploys to meet business requirements.
Be a technical leader with the ability and desire to mentor other members of the team.
Prototype new approaches and production solutions at scale
What you'll need to succeed:
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
5+ years of experience crafting and developing web or software applications
Proven expertise in Java, OOP Principals and Design Patterns
Proven expertise in crafting and developing scalable and resilient applications
Unending curiosity, thoroughness, tenacity and focus on quickly crafting and building complex software systems with great quality to solve customer problems
Have a good sense of organization to set expectations and keep deliverables on a timeline, with the ability to document, communicate and justify all technology decisions and directions.
Experience with AWS or Azure cloud providers, Kubernetes and Docker
Experience in following web technologies: REST, JSON, MySQL, Spring Boot, Junit, TestNG, Spring
Familiarity with monitoring systems like New Relic, Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana etc is a plus
Experience with Kafka, NoSQL is a plus
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipeline is a plus
Expertise with config management tools (Terraform/Ansible/Salt-stack/Puppet), NoSQL (Hadoop/Cassandra/MongoDB) and with monitoring and logging solutions (preferably Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana)is a plus
