As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you shall apply the latest radar and AI/ML technologies to Aptiv’s newest radar sensor generations to create competitive market-leading perception solutions to support radar-based re-localization and mapping. You will work within an international team along some of the brightest minds in the industry. Your day to day will consist of the following:
Your Role:
Advanced Algorithm Development:
Spearhead the development of advanced Machine Learning algorithms tailored for Radar applications, enhancing the capabilities of our automotive radar systems.
Radar Data Processing Mastery:
Master the intricacies of Radar data processing, optimizing algorithms to ensure real-time performance and accuracy.
Collaborative Innovation:
Collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional teams, contributing to the innovation and excellence of our Radar technology initiatives.
Machine Learning in Radar Systems:
Apply your expertise in integrating Machine Learning methodologies into Radar systems, ensuring they align with the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Your Background:
Advanced degree: Master or Ph.D. in science, technology, physics, engineering or mathematics and 6 + years relevant work experience in either computer science, electrical engineering or related field with very good grades.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong hands on programming skills and experience in software development with either C/C++, Cuda or Python as part of a large team and knowledge with code version control, demonstrated in the interview process.
At least 3 years of professional experience in at least one of the following:
Machine learning & Deep Learning
Modern radar signal processing methods
Experience with SLAM or Structure from Motion
Experience in deep learning toolkits like Pytorch, Tensor Flow, etc.
Experience in the field of real-time and embedded systems
Autonomous driving or ADAS experience
Proven track record of publications in relevant conferences (CVPR, NIPS, ICCV, ICRA, Fusion, ...) showing the capability to develop leading competitive solutions.
Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
