Position Description

You will be part of our Team Infrastructure and Support and lead and oversee the day-to-day operations for all internal support topics. You will lead and instruct the other IT Support Specialists to select, implement, and oversee the systems and equipment used by the employees, including ticketing programs and any automated self-service tools.
You establish and enforce department policies, guidelines, and user support standards. You will also drive strategic planning and major initiatives.
This role requires an open and motivated individual who actively lives the service attitude and loves to help other employees. Leadership skills and good project management abilities will help to drive internal projects and standards.
For this role regular office presence in Karlsruhe is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Help our Cinemo employees to work efficiently
  • Manage and train IT Support Specialists
  • Proactively help on 1st and 2nd level support cases on hardware and software issues
  • On-prem service – Take care of our office equipment: Install, move, add or change existing installations like work desks, meeting room equipment or other IT-related peripherals in our office space
  • Diagnose and provide support on computer system problems, including repairing, servicing, installing, training, and troubleshooting computer hardware, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Lead the roll-out, provisioning and inventory of internal devices (e.g. laptops, workstations and other peripherals) and ensure the compliance with the company rules
  • Ensure an efficient work environment for our home-office and shared desk users
  • Analyze help desk tickets and/or IT Service Survey data and establish internal service and process improvements
  • Hands-on management of the small team of IT Support Specialists
  • Drive company-internal projects related to IT support
  • Collaboration with external partners and suppliers

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience in the IT support field on a heterogenous environment (Windows, Linux, MacOS)
  • Very good operating system knowledge on Windows, Linux and MacOS – especially in solving user-problems
  • Good knowledge in recent user applications and hardware
  • Able to analyze problems and provide user-oriented solutions
  • Dedicated to successful team management, continuous improvement and able to establish system environments and processes
  • A natural collaborator and problem solver
  • Good written and verbal English and German communication skills
