Group Communications (GC) is responsible for creating a lasting positive image of Roche and are representing the company's voice on a Group level: We communicate Roche’s strategy and how we deliver on our purpose of "Doing now what patients need next” to Roche colleagues and external audiences. We drive integrated and global campaigns and provide platforms for communications business partners as well as our affiliates to engage with audiences. We contribute to building trust of key stakeholders, to managing Roche’s brand and reputation and to building a favorable environment for our business. The Digital Communications team within GC is where innovation and collaboration converge to redefine healthcare communications. Our core mission is to vividly bring Roche’s strategy and purpose - 'Doing now what patients need next' - to life, leveraging a wide array of digital channels. From orchestrating compelling integrated campaigns to harnessing the power of digital platforms for deep insights, our work is integral to building trust with key stakeholders, enhancing our brand reputation, and creating a supportive ecosystem for our business .

The position

As an Intelligence Manager, you are responsible for the measurement of Roche’s communications efforts to internal and external audiences, along with Modern Research techniques, such as listening and benchmarking to derive insights.

Your opportunities

  • Strategic Insights: Develop and refine a framework for both macro and micro-level insights that informs the effectiveness of external campaigns, setting benchmarks for future improvements

  • Product Development Focus: Work on the product development, optimisation, and adoption of our digital offerings. Ensure these efforts are rooted in data-driven insights, aligning with the Group Communications strategy towards automation, real-time dashboards, and AI integration

  • Internal and External Collaboration: Partner with internal communications and other business units to enhance our internal measurement capabilities, bringing them in line with our external benchmarks. Act as a point of contact for business partners, unifying intelligence insights across digital communications to maintain a cohesive strategy

  • Insights to Action: Derive actionable insights from the performance of Roche's global corporate channels, using social analytics tools to inform and optimise audience, channel, and content strategies. Regularly align with teams outside GC to ensure digital communications strategies are well-represented and impactful

  • Operational Excellence: Streamline processes to reduce duplication and inefficiencies. Develop and optimise work frameworks, including templates, playbooks, and dashboards, to enhance digital communication strategies

Who you are

You bring 7+ years of relevant experience within social media intelligence or digital analysis. You have particular strengths in Measurement, Critical Thinking, and Decision Making (based on Communications Skills Framework). You can critically analyse and interpret paid and organic social media data, summarising findings into meaningful insights. And you are up-to-date with tools & trends within the social analytics space.

In addition, you …

  • … are adept at using social listening and analytics tools (i.e. Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Unicepta, etc.)

  • … bring experience of visualisation and automation tools (Tableau or Google Data Studio preferred)

  • … bring experience of multi-market and multilingual social intelligence

  • … ideally bring experience of Natural Language Processing (i.e. Python)

  • … have working knowledge of Boolean logic

  • … strong written and verbal presentations. You are fluent in written and spoken English
