Purpose

The role entails leading the development of new solutions and applications within our Order Management Solutions and Ocean Contract Management products portfolio. It involves bringing innovative solutions to our customers and implementing efficient operational processes within our internal network. The objective is to facilitate the development and implementation of strategic plans that drive growth and profitability. Additionally, this role requires advising top management in alignment with the DHL vision, strategy, standards, and protocols.

Tasks

• Lead Development of a solutions portfolio based on specific applications covering areas in Order Management and Ocean Contract Management in line with DHL OMS vision/strategy/standards/protocol
• Define the strategy of solutions with specific applications and determine deployment plans for the new solutions
• Makes key decisions that will have significant impact to our solutions product offering
• Plan, organize and oversee initiatives and take decisions following DHL protocols and standards
• Leading member to contribute to develop strategy and implementation of OMS solutions
• Lead timely and accurate preparation of information and analysis for financial planning and budget calculations
• Bring together information and forecasts, consolidate and extensively analyze information and introduce into encompassing strategic planning process for solution development and rollout
• Introduce and steer innovation in planning tools and methods, increasing effectiveness and efficiency
• Improve, change or adapt functional processes, systems and services in line with group standards
• Document and submit business requirements to IT applications project teams
• Align that business requirements satisfy needs across regions
• Manage OMS project team members to execute the definition, delivery and rollout of new system solutions with key tasks of E2E testing, evaluate testing results of UAT and provide sign off for new functions to go live
• Lead solution and process design activities, process flowchart updates and Business SOP creation/maintenance
• Account for all customer business needs by user role for system visibility, exception/authorization processes, business intelligence and any collaborative functions
• Interpret voice of customer feedback and analyze the competitive marketplace to drive our product development strategy and guide system developers
• Align with global operational model for Ocean freight as much as possible
• Determine rollout plans for new functions and align with regions to promote widespread usage
• Lead regular update meetings with regional counterparts across the global OMS and Ocean freight structure to develop aligned global offerings and enhance communication across geographies
• Develop team members’ knowledge and skillset in all Solution Design functions to ensure competitive solutions are developed and contribute to our growth aspirations
• Evolve the Solution Design processes, methodologies, and tools over time to continuously improve our solutions and support our business growth.

• Extensive expertise in Order Management Solutions
• In-depth knowledge of Ocean Freight operations
• Proven track record in implementing Carrier Neutral Freight Management Solutions
• Ability to design and develop innovative solutions
• Strong customer understanding and ability to meet their needs effectively
• Proficiency in optimizing business processes
• Experience in formulating and executing business strategies
• Proficiency in process flowcharting and process improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated capability in business planning and forecasting
• Expertise in change management and driving organizational transformation
• Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends in the industry
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools and techniques
• Proven track record in project management and successful implementation of initiatives
• Excellent influencing skills to drive change and achieve desired outcomes
• Strong presentation and storytelling abilities to effectively communicate complex concepts
• Experience in people management, including leading and developing direct reports
• Understanding of software development principles and its application in business solution
• Leadership experience persuading and influencing stakeholders
• Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Min. 8 years of relevant experience
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills
