We believe that Senior Engineers are leaders in their teams and make an impact with everything they do, from technical tasks to teamwork.
To succeed in this role, we believe you should possess:
Empathy – When reading old code, delivering a feature, or mentoring a junior, you take their perspective into consideration.- Experience - Ample experience in JavaScript (especially SPAs), HTML5, CSS3 – and a bit of Java, jQuery, or TypeScript wouldn’t hurt.
- A desire to make a difference – To improve our tech, team, and processes, a drive for change is part of your DNA.
- Communication – You know how to present your ideas and listen to feedback, whether it’s with your whole team, your manager, a mentee, or a peer. Strong English skills go a long way.
OUR TOOLBOX
We are modernizing our platform from a jQuery-based server-side rendered MPA built on Java Spring to a client-side rendered SPA built in Angular. As a result, there are many tools in our box, but the most important are:
- Java 11 with Struts, migrating to Spring Boot
- Gitlab for our repositories and CI/CD Pipelines
- Web Components for the new frontend (Angular in the near future)
- jQuery with Velocity for old frontend, Thymeleaf for the new one
