Our Digital R&D (DRD) team is responsible for innovative computer-aided solutions for chemical product and application development at Covestro. DRD integrates expertise in materials simulation and computational chemistry as well as skills in laboratory automation, R&D data science, quantum computing and high performance computing (HPC).

With passion and deep technical expertise, we develop software to map complex R&D processes and connect modern laboratory infrastructure.

Your mission in detail:

• Architecture visionary: Together with our software architects, you not only shape specifications, you breathe life into them. You focus on creativity and innovation, especially in the area of front-end technologies.

• Bard of Code Development: Your code is not only functional, but a true symphony. You are part of a process that goes far beyond writing code - from maintaining a shared code repository to release management and (automated) testing.

• UI Architect: You are not just a developer, but a real thought leader in the design of front ends. In close coordination with business and IT, you transform abstract requirements into visual masterpieces for our users.

• Technical Artist: You are not just a technician, but an artist. Whether you're writing requirements documents, authoring source code, or creating documentation - you don't just design, you inspire.

• Development Sorcerer: Technical architectural specifications and design documents are not just guidelines for you, but the basis for creating breathtaking front ends.

• End User Wizard: You not only interact with end users, but understand their needs on a deeper level. From requirements gathering to product reviews to magical bug fixes.

• Knowledge Alchemist: Your knowledge is worth its weight in gold, and you enjoy sharing it with your teammates. You are not just a developer, but a mentor who inspires the team to achieve their best.

• Linguistic brilliance: Not only your code speaks volumes, but also your language skills. Your profile is rounded off by fluent English skills (German is a plus).
