Senior Embedded Developer, Darmstadt

One of our fastest growing clients in the Darmstadt area is currently looking to hire an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their highly collaborative embedded team. My client is well known in their field, mainly focusing on image processing and computer vision technologies for industrial applications. This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a quickly evolving company working at the forefront of technical development in the industrial sector.

Working as part of a highly collaborative small team with the larger development department, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing embedded software for image processing using C/C++

• Evaluating and validating embedded processor technologies

• Collaborating with members of other teams, in particular those working on hardware development

• Integrating standardised software interfaces for IoT and Industry 4.0

• A master’s degree or similar high-level qualification in computer science, engineering or another related subject

• Several years’ development experience with C/C++ on embedded Linux

• Solid understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery, software deployment and the V-model

• Ideally, extensive skills in one of the following areas:

  • Product development for image processing

  • Realtime or FPGA development

  • Linux Kernel development and/or configuration

• Excellent communication, preferably in both English and German
