The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Presentation of AXA Emerging Customers

  • AXA Emerging Customers is responsible for defining and driving the execution of AXA’s strategy on mass market and vulnerable segments across markets. The initiative aims at protecting low to middle-income populations who are vulnerable and ill-insured; and preventing them from falling into poverty.
  • The AXA Emerging Customers team supports AXA country subsidiaries in the roll-out of their Emerging Customers’ business through partnership-building, product development, value proposition definition, customer journey design, marketing and sales strategy, and operations optimisation across the value chain.
  • The KPIs of our distribution partners and the priorities & needs of our end clients are central to the team: the objective is to anticipate changing social & economic needs to tailor our products and services accordingly. We meet these needs by developing innovative solutions that leverage cutting-edge yet often simple technologies.

Missions

Senior digital expert

  • As part of the AXA Emerging Customers team, the role-holder will be a key contributor to digital insurance programs for the mass market. He/She will provide expertise to negotiate and set up distribution partnerships with digital players across all relevant markets.
  • The role-holder will support teams in countries by leading or supporting the user experience design (both enrolment and claims) and by adapting the insurance programs both to the partners’ ecosystem and to the features of mass market segment in developing economies.
  • He/She will also lead or contribute to the digital marketing strategies to amplify the reach with the mass market and maximize the sales performance.

Business developer / Entity relationship manager

  • Core responsibility is to drive the growth of the AXA Emerging Customers business in a priority country, supporting local teams along the insurance value chain and monitoring the growth of the local EC portfolio.
  • The Entity relationship manager is responsible for defining the inclusive insurance strategy in the allocated geographical scope (to be defined) and for rolling it out with the local business teams. The role also entails the management of the governance with local Executive management.
  • The Entity Relationship Manager actively supports local teams in the search, development, launch, and management of distribution partnerships (e.g., customer study, value proposition design, commercial pitches, customer journey, operations…).

Main activities

Growth of digital distribution partnerships

Responsible for advising, designing, and supporting the set-up of AXA Emerging Customersprograms through digital distribution partners, in line with the agreed target operating model with AXA subsidiaries

  • Support the set-up of new insurance programs to be distributed through digital channels by leading the user experience design and the definition of customer journey,
  • Lead the preparation of online engagement content and the digital marketing strategies to maximize business growth and optimize the online sales funnels,
  • Advise and anticipate technology and data needs to support the deployment through digital partners’ ecosystems, based on the capabilities and specificities of local AXA subsidiaries in each country,
  • Engage with local teams after the deployment of AXA Emerging Customers digital partnerships and support local teams to identify subsequent improvements and deploy them to meet business needs,
  • Identify digital partners with group and local teams, facilitate the sourcing of contacts between headquarters and local subsidiaries, support commercial pitches and relationship management,
  • Raise awareness of digital business models and marketing strategies (internal or external to AXA) to support the growth of AXA Emerging Customers. Ensure that the replication of successes can be done when and where relevant, with the appropriate adjustments to adapt to countries and partners,
  • Contribute to ideating/designing systems to support AXA’s new value propositions combining insurance and services. Review digital players and technology capabilities across existing AXA ecosystems (Emma, DHP…) to support the new value proposition.

Business development / Entity Relationship Management

Drives the business growth of AXA Emerging Customers in a priority country (scope to be defined)

  • Defines the AXA Emerging Customers strategy in an entity with local EC managers, defines business plans with local teams, ensures frequent follow-up on business development and partnership pipeline, reviews achievement on monthly basis and animate quarterly business review with the entity CEO.
  • Screens and reviews distribution channels and potential leads to develop the EC business, supports the local EC team in the development and in the management of partnerships (customer studies, value proposition design, partnership model, commercial pitches …)
  • Reviews the local set-up and assesses capability gaps within allocated entity, identifies area of support needed to deploy the strategy, mobilizes AXA Emerging Customers experts to facilitate business growth when and where needed (e.g., marketing, data, operations, IT, impact measurement…)
  • Monitors the deployment and performance vs. annual targets, follows up on the quality of practice/impact, engages with local stakeholders to raise awareness of Emerging Customers business locally, runs 360 training with local teams across entity.

 


Votre Profil

Professional and technical skills

  • Business or scientific master’s degree with minimum 10 years’ experience in digital sales & Business development
  • Previous experience in developing countries in Africa, Asia and/or Latin America
  • Experience in the implementation of online sales, ideally with a focus on mass market customers
  • Strong expertise in user experience design, online customer journeys optimization and/or digital marketing
  • Digital savviness and ability to anticipate/identify technology and data needs to support business growth
  • Extensive experience of, and proven ability to drive business project delivery
  • First experience and knowledge of the insurance business: products, processes, distribution models, customer expectations, ideally across multiple geographies
  • Fluent in English - both written and spoken

 

Interpersonal skills

  • Ability to think outside the box, to challenge reflexes from traditional/mature markets, to adapt to new geographies and to understand new paradigms for mass market customers.
  • Motivated by an international and dynamic environment with ability to travel occasionally (approx. 10-15%)
  • Curiosity and analytical mindset with strong, structured problem-solving skills
  • Customer-oriented, able to adapt to changing requirements and iterate on solutions
  • Practical, hands-on, result-driven approach
  • Strong commercial and marketing skills, ability to get stakeholders’ buy-in and engage with their wider team
