Our team creates brand experiences for the Zalando corporate brand that inspire and engage internal and external audiences. We do this by defining a powerful visual, written and spoken language and strong storytelling through concepts, copy and designs. In order to push our Zalando corporate brand forward, we ensure the creative excellence of all communications and visuals.

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with a strong skill set in corporate branding to concept, design and execute creative communication campaigns that blend storytelling and visual innovation and deliver high-quality creative materials. The ideal candidate will be able to express ideas clearly, provide creative support to team members and external freelancers and agencies, execute company objectives, and partner with cross-functional departments on strategy and execution. You are a visual storyteller, you love brand strategy, brand architecture and design and are able to drive projects yourself towards creative excellence.

You will continuously improve the Zalando corporate brand by applying your brand identity mindset and bringing these brand elements to life. Our projects span over a broad range of internal and external communication assets such as corporate campaigns, reporting, events and spatial branding.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

  • Conceptualise and deliver creative ideas and assets from start to finish, translating business objectives into clear, compelling, and visually exciting final deliverables based on our brand strategy.

  • Responsible for driving projects independently, delivering on time and within budget with the support of internal / external creative teams.

  • Effectively drive and communicate your creative vision and projects to our internal (and external) stakeholders.

  • Work closely with external creative partners; Set clear creative briefing, provide creative support,direction and feedback and ensure relationships are kept.

  • Build and expand upon the existing corporate identity guidelines, internal communications, and act as a brand ambassador.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design, communication design, visual design or media design

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as designer in a design studio or inhouse design department.

  • Proficiency on Adobe suite & Figma is a must (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Google Suite & motion is a plus

  • Experience across concept development, digital, print, event design and brand identity.

  • Familiarity / understanding in video / photo shoots is a plus.

  • You are both a hands-on Designer and problem solver. With your solution-oriented attitude, you can manage both creative and administrative tasks.

  • Self starter; You know how to manage stakeholders and educate them on design processes. You can go and talk to customers, you are proactive, independent, you know what needs to be done and you will not stop until you get there.

  • Fluent in English, German language is a plus.
