Role and Responsibilities:
A Senior Cloud Software Engineer in the Wireless Features team plays a key role in developing state of the art applications on Aruba Cloud Platform. These applications improve the performance and effectiveness of the network by monitoring and controlling the behavior of Access Points and Clients in real-time. Aruba is a leading Enterprise Networking company, and an integral part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Aruba Cloud Platform is an internally developed innovative Cloud Stack which powers Aruba Cloud Applications for Wired/Wireless Network and Service Management.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for the design and implementation of reliable, efficient and scalable software services in the cloud
- Co-ordinate and work across teams to effectively drive projects to completion
- Apply your software skills and domain knowledge to come up with innovative solutions to complex, real-life customer problems
- Research and recommend cloud technologies or software solutions
- Provide direction and guidance to team members in specific areas of expertise
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5-10 years of relevant software experience in cloud computing environments
- Experience building software for large scale distributed systems using Python or Java.
- Some experience with 802.11 protocols and applications is preferred
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, ArangoDB, and Clickhouse
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proven problem-solving / troubleshooting skills.
- Resiliency and Scalability knowledge and experience
