What you'll do
SAP aims to develop an Open Reference Architecture (ORA) for a secure and sustainable cloud edge infrastructure that includes intelligent optimization methods for data transparency and security. This reference infrastructure, aspired by the EU IPCEI-CIS (Important Project of Common European Interest – Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services) program, shall be the basis for future software development and a prerequisite for a pan-European cloud edge infrastructure.
SAP will be working on the publicly funded project with both experienced employees from its existing workforce but also new hires. Therefore, we are looking for suitable candidates. If you are interested in Cloud Operating System development and operation, the usage and further development of Open-Source solutions and standards, interoperability, efficiency, and sustainability take the chance and apply!
In this role you will:
- Design and implement backend Application Programming Interface
- Create Kubernetes operators to automate operational aspects of a cloud-native infrastructure stack
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications within Kubernetes clusters using tools like Prometheus
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize and automate CI/CD workflows for containerized environments
What you bring
- Degree in Applied Sciences, preferably in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or OpenStack
- Track record of software development preferably with Golang or Python
- Experience with agile practices and CI/CD driven development
- Preferably experience working with Kubernetes and related Cloud Native technologies
- Very good English skills written and spoken
- +3 years of professional experience
