Summary
As a Backend Engineer within the Platform Services Group, you will help build a seamless administration and governance experience for the customers of our SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite. You will join the Tenants team, which works in the domain of Identity Management & Tenant Lifecycles and take a vital role in driving new features with the aim of scaling our product offering.

What you will do:
- Contributing to the entire cycle of product development, from first ideas and brainstorming sessions to continuously delivering improvements based on data-driven decisions
- Bootstrapping and developing end-to-end product increments (Backend & Frontend) in collaboration with the team
- Working on existing applications as well as the inception of new (micro)services, which are either following the traditional server-based approach or serverless approach
- Proactively gather, understand and manage requirements and expectations
- Collaborating with other teams and tech leads across the organization on solving challenging technical as well as business problems
- Ensuring compliance with our security guidelines
- Responsible for end-to-end service delivery and operations (development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, incident response & on-call)
- Mentor less experienced peers and be mentored by more experienced peers

Would be great if you bring:
- 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams relying on agile methodologies
- Passionate about fast iterations, test driven development, pair programming, pragmatic development approaches and fail-fast attitude
- In-depth knowledge of Java; exposure to functional programming is a plus
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases, ideally MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and related cloud technologies
- Experience with microservice architectures, message-based systems, and/or serverless architectures
- Experience in safely and efficiently refactoring larger pieces of code
- You are a strong team player and communicator
- You have a continuous-learning attitude and are passionate about growing yourself and supporting your peers in their growth
- Bonus: you are interested in frontend development or have some experience with React, Typescript, Node.js, GraphQL or similar modern technologies
